Puri: Taking note of the damage to the gold ornaments of Lord Jagannath and Lord Balabhadra, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has decided to repair those.
The repair of the ornaments will be carried out by four experienced jewellers at the Navikata Mandap inside the temple campus from Dwadashi tithi.
In this connection, SJTA has written a letter to a local jeweller.
Talking to the media, Kameshwar Achari, a local jeweller said the four hands of Lord Jagannath and Lord Balabhadra made of gold will be repaired as the finger parts have got damaged. Besides, the damaged parts of earrings of the deities will also be repaired.
For the repair of ornaments, SJTA will bring 1200 grams of gold from the State Bank of India (SBI).
