Puri: An employee of Jagannath Temple here tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
Prior to testing positive, the employee had received a vaccine shot at the COVID Vaccination Centre (CVC), exclusively meant for the temple sevayats and their family, at Pratihari Nijog office on Lokanath Road, sources said.
Following this, the vaccination centre had to be temporarily closed after the sevayats refused to take shots at the centre as the administration was yet to sanitise it.
