Taking a cue from the ‘Mo Bus’ and ‘Mo Cycle’ projects by the Odisha government, the Puri district administration has launched a ‘Mo Beach’ campaign to keep the shoreline clean and beautiful, according to a report in The Times of India on Thursday.
The district administration has appealed to local communities, civil society organisations, volunteers and gram panchayats with beaches under their jurisdiction to participate in the new initiative, the report added.
The district has at least seven enchanting beaches that are a hit with tourists — Puri, Chandrabhaga (Konark), Balighai, Ramchandi, Astaranga, Baliharchandi and Rajhans.
