Puri: Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, a Puri-based man has started a padyatra from the temple town to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The 29-year-old businessman wants to meet the Prime Minister to demand the construction of Siddha Mahaveer over bridge in Puri.
He started the foot journey 16 days back.
“I started my padyatra from Singha Dwara in Puri. I stayed for one night at Sakhigopal. Then I reached Pipili and spent one night there. Some social workers felicitated me near Kedar Gouri,” said Jyoti.
He reached Jharkhand on Wednesday by covering 355 km in 16 days. He aims to reach Delhi in 90 days.
Jyoti is the convener of Jan Jagaran Mancha.
“Lakhs of people are facing a lot of problems at the Siddha Mahaveer level crossing,” said Jyoti.
He has collected more than one lakh signatures to show to the Prime Minister.
“I will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and place this demand of lakhs of Puri denizens,” said Jyoti.
“I will also try to meet Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal to press my demand,” he added.
