Puri: Police summoned a man from Brundaban over his posts on Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri town.
The 45-year-old man, identified as Ananta Goswami, had allegedly posted videos of sanctum sanctorum and interiors of the 12th-century temple on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook on January 18 under the account name, “Banke Bihariji Ananta”.
He appeared before police on Thursday.
“A notice was served him directing him to appear before police after the video was found circulation on social media. A case has been registered under the Temple Act, and his statement has been recorded,” said SP (Puri) Vinit Agrawal.
Investigation to ascertain how he breached the temple security and take a mobile phone inside the premises, he added.
