Puri: Shankaracharya of Puri Swami Nischalananda Saraswati on Thursday said efforts were on to disparage the sanctity of Gobardhan Peeth.
“Neither the Chief Minister nor any political party has the willingness and concern to maintain the legacy and sanctity of Gobardhan Peeth. Rather efforts are on to malign it,” the seer told mediapersons.
He further alleged that the state government was trying to make Puri a secular place without religious and spiritual leadership.
