Puri: Ahead of the visit of Ranjit Kumar, the amicus curiae appointed by the Supreme Court to oversee the reforms in the Jagannath Temple, Shankaracharya of Govardhan Peeth, Swami Nischalananda Saraswati has expressed his willingness for a meeting in this regard with the state government, the Gajapati Maharaja as well as the temple administration.
Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, spokesperson of the Gobardhan Peeth, Manoj Rath said that the Shankaracharya has called up Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingh Deb, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Law Minister Pratap Jena, the district administration and the Jagannath Temple Managing Committee to the meeting, which will begin at 9 am on February 17.
Rath said the meeting will discuss irregularities in Shree Jagannath Temple, the Brahma Parivartan fiasco during Nabakalebara festival, the opening of the Ratna Bhandar and missing of Ratna Bhandar keys and ban on the devotees for the darshan of the Lords inside the sanctum sanctorum.
