Puri: Shankaracharya of Gobardhan Peeth, Puri, Swami Nischalananda Saraswati on Friday said that there should be separate Hindu states in the world.
“Out of 204 countries in the world, most are either Christian or Muslim countries. Though a large number of Hindus stay in these countries, there is no specific Hindu country. The United Nations should take a note of this and declare India, Nepal and Bhutan as Hindu states and take necessary steps for the rehabilitation of Hindus who have been tortured and exploited in other countries,” the Shankaracharya told mediapersons here.
He also said that the United Nations should also have a special court to work for the rehabilitation of the religious minority groups in all countries.
Referring to the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, (CAA) he said before the implementation of any major Acts in the country, there should be intense deliberations. Had there an intense deliberation before the implementation of the CAA, there would have been no violence,” he pointed out.
