Puri: District collector on Saturday declared Kanhapur village under Gop block as containment zone after one corona positive case was detected from the village.
The collector’s order stated that the village will remain as containment zone from Saturday till further order. The areas from Kapileswar Bazaar Chhak to Kanhapur Basti, Kapileswar to Kanhapur bypass, Kushabhadra river banks to Kanhapur, and Bangora Badapada to Kanhapur come under containment zone.
As per the order, no person is allowed to go inside the zone nor anybody can come from it. The villagers have been directed to strictly remain at their homes.
All the shops and business establishments, and government and private institutions in the containment zone will remain closed.
Gop BDO will ensure supply of essential items and medical requirements to the villagers.
