Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin was recently found by his guards on the floor of his bedroom after allegedly having suffered a “cardiac arrest” in his private Moscow apartment, according to media reports citing Telegram channel ‘General SVR’, which is reportedly run by a former Kremlin insider.
The Telegram Channel claimed that Putin’s security officers found him “lying on the floor and rolling his eyes” around 9 pm on Sunday evening, alongside an overturned table with food and drinks. “Probably, when the president fell, he hit the table and dishes and knocked them onto the floor, which caused the noise. Putin convulsively arched while lying on the floor, rolling his eyes. The doctors who were on duty at the residence and located in one of the adjacent rooms were immediately called,” the Mirror reported, citing channel’s statement.
It added that the Russian President was immediately moved to a specially-equipped room in his residence where doctors performed resuscitation on him before taking him to a special intensive care facility located within his official residence.
Notably, the channel regularly posts reports about the 71-year-old’s apparent ill health and it had alleged that recent appearances by Putin have been carried out by a body double.
The claims of Putin’s worsened health, however, have not been confirmed by the Kremlin.
