Mumbai: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ continues to make waves at the box-office even after 2 weeks of release.
According to a Sacnilk report, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has minted around ₹1416.40 crore worldwide in 14 days.
However, despite the movie’s huge box-office success, PVR INOX, the biggest Indian multiplex chain, has removed the movie from its north Indian theatres.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the makers of ‘Pushpa 2’ entered into an argument with PVR INOX, following which the multiplex chain pulled out all shows of the movie from its screens in north India.
Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared on Thursday, “BREAKING: Pushpa 2⃣ REMOVED✖️ from all PVR INOX chains in North India from Tomorrow.”
However, hours later, the trade analyst updated that the issue between PVR INOX and ‘Pushpa 2’ makers has been resolved and the theatre chain is adding the movie shows slowly.
“BREAKING: Pushpa 2️⃣ PVR INOX agreement issue now resolved✅ Shows opening slowly one by one⏳,” he wrote.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ minted Rs 600 crore in the domestic market within two weeks of its release and became the highest-grossing Hindi film.
On December 13, ‘Pushpa’ star Allu was arrested from his residence by Hyderabad police in a case related to the death of a 35-year-old woman in the Sandhya theatre stampede.
Later, the actor was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court and was released on December 14.
