Pvt Finance Firm Employee Looted On Bhubaneswar Outskirts

Balipatna: An employee of a private finance company was robbed of over Rs 10,000 and a mobile phone on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Monday.

According to sources, two bikers intercepted the victim, identified as Jitendra Barik, while he was carrying cash collected from women self-help groups in the area to a bank. They snatched away the cash bag containing Rs 10,300 and his mobile phone at knifepoint and ransacked his motorcycle, before fleeing the spot.

Balipatna Police have begun a probe on basis of the written complaint lodged by Barik, the sources added.
