Bhubaneswar: Upcoming Odia flick ‘Ole Ole Dil Bole’s song ‘Lageidebi To Pachhare Bula Kukura’ has garnered huge response on the digital platform.
Well-known singers Diptirekha and Ashutosh have lent voice to the song composed by music director Prem Anand with lyrics penned by Basantaraj Samal.
While the tune is appealing, the use of words leaves a lot to be desired. Loosely translating, the song goes like, “If you date anyone else besides me, I will let loose the stray dogs behind you.” Actors Jyoti and Jhilik feature in the song.
“The film is a satirical comedy. With my theatre background I have tried to give a new story to the audience. The lead characters have been named after animals – Jyoti as Kukura (Dog), Jhilik as Gai (Cow), and Siddhant Mohapatra as Yamraj. So the lyrics of the song has a connection with the storyline,” clarifies director Kailash Mohapatra.
The concept is based on a play directed by Mohapatra. “This is a commercial song. The words that have been used are common during regular conversation. There is no intention to hurt anyone’s feelings,” says Prem Anand.
Produced under the banner of Gitanjali Productions, the film’s music was released recently. The film will hit theatres on April 13.
