Queer Reply Of Odisha Minister To BJD Member’s Tongue-In-Cheek

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly on Thursday witnessed an amusing session during the question hour when the ruling BJD member Prafulla Samal put a weird question to the Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sudam Marandi.

Samal wanted to know from the minister whether he had any knowledge about the scientific technique or devices to reduce wind speed or change the course of a cyclone like Fani heading towards the Odisha coast.

In his reply, the minister said the state government was aware of natural disasters hitting Odisha coast. “As new natural calamities have surfaced, my department is in talks with other countries for adoption of the latest technologies to ward them off,” he added.
