Cuttack: Following Odisha Teachers’ Eligibility Test (OTET) question paper leak on January 16, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has decided to conduct the OTET online from this year onwards.
Making an announcement to this effect at the BSE headquarters office here on Friday, president Dr Jahan Ara Begum said henceforth, the students will appear for the OTET online.
“Following the question papers leak on social media, the Board has decided to change the examination pattern and accordingly decided to conduct the OTET in the online mode. It has been decided that the OTET will be conducted after the annual High School Certification (HSC) examinations are over,” Dr Begum added.
About 1.12 lakh students had appeared for the OTET at 250 centres in the state.
Talking about the annual HSC examination, the BSE president said a total of 5.45,364 students will appear the examination at 2830 centres in the state, which will begin from February 22 and conclude on March 8.
She said the students can download the admit card from the official website of the Board www.bseodisha.nic.in from February 8 onwards.
