Quick Action By Bus Crew Saves Passenger After Heart Attack In Odisha’s Angul

Angul: Humanitarian gesture and prompt action by the driver and conductor of a bus saved the life of a passenger, who suffered a massive heart attack, in Odisha’s Angul.

As per information, a private bus from Rasol in Dhenkanal district was proceeding to Angul bus stand when the incident took place. There were about 30 passengers in the bus and one of them, identified as Ranjan Kumar Naik (32), suddenly suffered a heart attack in the moving vehicle.

Sources said Ranjan complained of severe pain in his chest and became unconscious when the bus reached Nalco.

Seeing the passenger’s condition, bus conductor Lakshmidhar informed the driver, Ashok Naik. Both then decided to take immediate steps to save the life of the passenger, instead of calling an ambulance and wasting time.

After explaining the passengers on board about the situation, the driver of the bus drove straight  to the Angul district hospital. Passengers of the bus also fully cooperated.

After immediate treatment by doctors at the hospital, Ranjan’s life was saved.
