New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided to deploy additional paramilitary forces in the national capital in view of violence in parts of Delhi on Republic Day today. Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava and the Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) at his residence on Tuesday, India Today reported quoting sources.
Amit Shah ordered the deployment of additional paramilitary forces in Delhi. The additional paramilitary forces will be deployed at sensitive places and areas.
In the meeting, Amit Shah also directed officials to ensure that law and order is restored in Delhi as soon as possible. For this purpose, 10 companies of the CRPF and another five companies of other paramilitary forces have been routed to Delhi.
