Bhubaneswar: As part of the jail reforms, the Odisha government is going to launch a novel scheme in which jail inmates will become radio jockeys.
Sources in the Directorate of Prisons & Correctional Services said that Jail Radio will be set up at Choudwar Circle Jail in Cuttack district and Jharpada Jail in Bhubaneswar in the first phase.
Audio systems in these two jails will be set up so that each prisoner can share his/her feelings with the inmates.
This novel scheme will be implemented in the remaining jails in subsequent phases, the sources added.
