Berhampur: A day after 12 students of Binayak Acharya College in Berhampur were rusticated on charges of ragging and assaulting a junior, another incident of ragging has come to the fore from Khallikote Junior College in Ganjam district on Saturday.
According to sources, a Plus-II first-year girl student of the college alleged ragging against some second-year students on the college premises.
She has written to the college principal regarding the incident following which the anti-ragging cell was asked to probe. Action will be taken accordingly, said the principal.
“They (second-year students) are entering the classrooms and creating a disturbance in the presence of teachers. Girls are not safe in the classroom,” stated the student in her complaint.
It is pertinent to mention here that 12 students of Binayak Acharya College were rusticated by the Anti-Ragging Committee and Discipline Committee who were seen in the alleged ragging video, which had gone viral.
