Bhubaneswar: Raghubar Das is likely to take oath as the 26th Governor of Odisha on October 31, sources informed on Thursday.
The former Jharkhand chief minister, who was appointed as Odisha Governor on October 18, is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on October 29.
Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid a courtesy visit to outgoing Governor Ganeshi Lal on Thursday and thanked him for his service to the state. He will be leaving Odisha on Friday after serving as Governor for nearly 5 years and 5 months.
Prior to this appointment, Das was serving as a national vice president of the BJP. A former RSS functionary, he was first non-tribal CM of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019.

Earlier speaking to media, Das had said that he would discharge his constitutional duties in coordination with the state government and was committed to taking Odisha to new heights.
