Jharsuguda: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi resumed his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Jharsuguda on Thursday, the third day of his procession in Odisha.
After a night halt at Amlipali Ground in Jharsuguda, he resumed his yatra from Old Bus Stand here and addressed a public rally. His programme, however, has been rescheduled due to paucity of time and the yatra will now move directly to Belpahar before entering Chhattisgarh, sources in Congress said.
Earlier speaking to the media, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said that Rahul will be attending Parliament and the yatra will resume again on February 11. “Today is the 26th day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. We are in Jharsuguda (in Odisha) then we will move to Chattishgarh. February 9 and 10 are complete rest days. Rahul ji will be attending Parliament. We will resume on February 11 morning,” he said.
In Odisha, the yatra covered around 200 km in the two western districts of Sundargarh and Jharsuguda.
