Khurda: An official team conducted raids on private nursing homes in Khurda town to verify implementation of COVID-19 protocols on Friday.

The team led by Khurda Tehsildar Padma Charan Sahu and ADMO Raghunath Nayak carried out raids on three private nursing homes in Khurda town on the order of the district collector.

Following the raids, Nayak said the nursing homes neither followed the COVID-19 guidelines nor had any details of the patients like symptomatic members of the family, travel history and others.

He further said the clinics did not ensure the required distance between the beds while the patients or medical staff were found not using face masks during the raids.

The nursing homes would be issued a warning of stringent actions for not following the COVD-19 guidelines, he added.
