Balangir: Train services were disrupted owing to a rail roko agitation by Patnagarh Citizens’ Forum at Balangir station on Saturday demanding rail link between Balangir-Patnagarh-Nuapada.
Several organisations, including Adivasi Sangh and Koshal Kranti Dal, extended their support to the strike.
Due to the agitation, long distance trains like Tapaswini Express and two other goods trains were held up at the station for more than an hour.
The agitators threatened to intensity the stir, if the state government failed to fulfill their demand at the earliest.
