Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: Shares of Railtel Corporation of India Ltd, a Navratna PSU, saw an upward swing on Thursday after it informed stakeholders about securing a project worth over Rs 262 crore from Odisha State Transport Authority.
“This is to inform that RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has received the work order from State Transport Authority Odisha for Project Business amounting to Rs. 2,62,33,85,540 (Including Tax),” the company said in an exchange filing.
It includes an upgradation of existing Command Control Centre to Unified Command Control Centre & Implementation of Intelligent Enforcement Management System (lEMS) for State Transport Authority, it added.
This project is expected to be completed by August 1, 2025.
The company has also secured work orders worth Rs 19.09 crore (including tax) from the Border Security Force (BSF) and over Rs 37 crore from Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation.
According to reports, Railtel’s shares jumped 3.87 per cent to an intraday high of Rs 300.65 per share on the NSE and ended at Rs 296.15, up by 2.23 per cent, on the BSE.
