Balangir: An employee of the railways was arrested by the police for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl in Muribahal area of Odisha’s Balangir district
According to sources, the Muribahal police rescued the girl and arrested the man, identified as Ghanashyam Bhoi on Friday after a thorough investigation.
The accused is a resident of Loisingha in Balangir district and works as a gangman in the railways in Kesinga.
Ghanashyam was reportedly in love with a minor girl from the Muribahal area, who studies at a college. He allegedly kidnapped the girl on December 9.
Based on a complaint lodged by the girl’s, police launched an investigation and rescued the girl from a house in Kesinga. Further investigation is underway.
