Bhubaneswar: Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnaw will be coming to Odisha on two-day visit, beginning Thursday (January 6).
The Minister will flag off Puri-Hatia-Puri Tapaswini Express with upgraded LHB Rake through video conferencing from Bhubaneswar railway station after arrival.
The 18452/18451 Puri-Hatia-Puri Tapaswini Express will run with modern Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches by replacing conventional coaches. This will enhance safety with better ride experience and lesser noise.
Vaishnaw will also lay the foundation for development of the Second Entry of Cuttack railway station on January 7. He will inspect the Cuttack railway station and review the development and amenities at the station.
The development works include second entry with facilities like parking lots, pickup and drop points, parking for ambulance, VIP vehicles etc., including a wider approach road.
Minister Padmanabha Behera and Ashok Chandra Panda; MP Aparajita Sarangi, MLAs Suresh Kumar Routray, Ananta Narayan Jena and Susant Kumar Rout will attend the function at Bhubaneswar station.
MP Bhartruhari Mahatab, MLAs Mohammed Moquim, Souvic Biswal will attend the function at Cuttack station along with Padmanabha Behera.
Railway Minister will also flag off the extension of Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar Train up to Balasore at Balasore station and will lay foundation and inaugurate various developmental works at Basta, Nilagiri and Jaleswar station.

Vaishnaw will address a Telecom Programme “Connecting the Unconnected”, provision of mobile towers to 3,933 villages at BSNL Bhawan, Ashok Nagar in Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening.
