Bhubaneswar: Before leaving for New Delhi, Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw reviewed the ongoing projects and traffic facility works to Ports and Industries with the Divisional Railway Manager of Khurda Road Division.
During his visit to Balangir and Bhawanipatna on Monday, the minister also reviewed the ongoing projects with Railway officials and said that the projects in the state are being given priority for speedy construction work.
Work for Khurda Road-Balangir Rail Line is being constructed from both the end for early completion of the project. Construction work from Bichhupalli to Sonepur and from Mahipur to Nuagaon/Dasapalla is in full swing.
Speaking to the media, Vaishnaw said, “To complete the project, we need cooperation from all agencies.”
On a demand on Balangir-Nuapada Rail Line, Vaishnaw said that it will be reviewed at an appropriate level and keeping on the feasibility on this, further action will be taken. He also said that Loco overhauling at Norla will be given priority.
