Bhubaneswar: Train services on Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam route have been affected after a goods train derailed at Palasa.
According to Railway sources, two wagons of the goods train derailed while admitting in Palasa yard in Andhra Pradesh. A relief train from Khurda Road station in Odisha has rushed to the site.
While Railway officials have reached the place to take stock of the situation and start restoration work, the movement of DN trains plying on the route has been affected.
Konark Special Express train has been controlled at Pundi station and local trains Visakhapatnam-Palasa and Bhubaneswar-Palasa Express have been short-terminated, the sources said.
