Railways To Run 4 Trains To Sonepur In Odisha; Check Details

Bhubaneswar: On commissioning of the rail line up to Sonepur from Balangir side in Odisha and keeping in view the aspiration of local people, it has been decided to extend three pairs of trains and launch a new one to Soneput station.

East Coast Railway (ECoR) said on Wednesday that three pairs of trains including Bhubaneswar-Balangir-Bhubaneswar Express and two pairs of Balangir-Bichhupali Passenger will be extended up to Sonepur.

Extension of Bhubaneswar-Balangir Express up to Sonepur:

12893 Bhubaneswar-Balangir-Sonepur Super Fast Express after arrival at Balangir will leave at 1345 hrs towards Sonepur and will reach at Sonepur at 1515 hrs. In the return direction, 12894 Sonepur-Bhubaneswar Super fast from Sonepur will leave at 1300hrs and will reach at Balangir at 1425hrs. This train will leave Balangir at 1445hrs and will reach at Bhubaneswar at 2145hrs. The regular service of this train will commence from Sonepur w.e.f. 14th March 2024 and from Bhubaneswar w.e.f. March 15, 2024.

The timings and stoppage of 12893/12894 Bhubaneswar-Sonepur-Bhubaneswar Express will remain unchanged between Bhubaneswar and Balangir from both the directions. Between Balangir and Sonepur, the train will provide stoppage at Bichhupali, Jhartarbha and Narsingh Garh Railway Stations.

Extension of Balangir-Bichhupali Passenger up to Sonepur w.e.f. March 15, 2024:

08305/08306 Balangir-Bichhupali-Balangir Passenger extended to Sonepur. This train leaving from Balangir at 0815hrs and will reach at Sonepur at 0945hrs. In the return direction, this train will leave from Sonepur at 1045hrs and will reach at Balangir at 1200hrs.

08307/08308 Balangir-Bichhupali-Balangir Passenger extended to Sonepur. This train leaving from Balangir at 1250hrs and will reach at Sonepur at 1420hrs. In the return direction, this train will leave from Sonepur at 1700hrs and will reach at Balangir at 1815hrs.

Introduction of New Train between Balangir and Sonepur w.e.f. March 15 2024:

08309/08310 Balangir-Sonepur-Balangir Passenger from Balangir will leave at 1915hrs and will reach at Sonepur at 2045hrs w.e.f. 15th March 2024. In the return direction, this train will leave from Sonepur at 0415hrs and will reach at Balangir at 0530hrs w.e.f. March 16, 2024.
