Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday forecast light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorm in some parts of 22 districts of Odisha during the next 3 hours.
This weather condition will prevail in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Angul, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Bargarh, Balangir, Boudh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Puri and Jagatsinghpur till 6.40 pm.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
