Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday informed that one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Bargarh had experienced light rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The highest fall in temperature of -3.7 degree Celsius was recorded in Jharsuguda, which also saw dense fog. Phulbani was the coldest at 11 degree Celsius.
The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower at a few places in Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and at one or two places in Interior Odisha, Balasore and Gajapati till 8.30 am on Friday.
Yellow warning of thunderstorm and lightning has been issued for Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul and Boudh districts during this period.
On Friday, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Nuapada, Koraput, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda and Bargarh, it added.
Thereafter, dry weather will prevail in Odisha.
The weatherman further said that there will be no large change in night temperature during the next 3-4 days.
