Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunder, lightning and gusty wind is likely to lash nine districts of Odisha in next three hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
State capital Bhubaneswar and Kataka city are also likely to be affected by the weather condition.
In a message issued at 10.20 am, the IMD said light to moderate rain, thunder and lightning along with gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may occur in Kendujhar, Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Debagada, Kataka (including Kataka City), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar City), Bhadrak and Jajpur districts during the next 3 hours. A yellow warning has been issued for these districts during the period.
People in these districts have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
