Bhubaneswar: Odisha may continue to experience rain on Wednesday under the influence of a low-pressure area over southwest & adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu & adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain at one or two places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri till 8.30 am on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, it had warned of light rain/thunderstorm in some parts of Puri districts and advised people to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strict.
Dry weather is likely to prevail across the state from Thursday and the night temperature expected to drop by 2-4°C after 2 days.
In the last 24 hours, G Udayagiri was the coldest at 14°C followed by Daringbadi at 15.5°C, Similigida at 16.5°C, Jharsuguda at 16.8 °C and Angul and Phulbani at 17°C each.
