Rain Intensity In Odisha To Decrease From Tomorrow, Alert Again From August 14

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain and thunderstorm with lightning is expected in several districts of Odisha on Saturday (August 10).

The India Meteorological Department (IMD has warned of heavy rain at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Malkangiri and Keonjhar districts. Thunderstorm with lightning may also occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal.

Bhubaneswar may also experience partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is also likely at many places in North Interior Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and at a few places in remaining districts of the state till 8.30 am on Sunday.

While light to moderate rain may continue at a few places during the subsequent three days, the intensity of spells is likely to increase again in Odisha from August 14 with yellow warning issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore districts. Heavy rainfall is also likely at one or two places over the some districts of North Odisha on August 15-16, it added.
