Bhubaneswar: The intensity of rain is likely to decrease in Odisha from Saturday as the low-pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand is expected to move west-northwestwards away from the state during the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday.
According to the midday bulletin, the low-pressure area is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over Jharkhand and neighbourhood during the next 24 hours.
There is a yellow warning for heavy rainfall at one or two places in Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur and Keonjhar districts till 8.30 am on Saturday. It has also forecast one or two spells of rain or thundershower in Bhubaneswar during this period.
While there are no further weather warning, Odisha may continue to experience light to moderate rain/thundershower till August 8, it added.
