Bhubaneswar: The rainfall intensity in Odisha is likely to decrease during the next five days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Sunday, however, has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm for three days this week.
Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Boudh, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, and Bargarh districts till 8.30 am on August 29, the MeT office said in its midday bulletin on Sunday.
A similar warning has been issued for Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur from 8.30 am on August 31 till 8.30 am on September 1 and again for Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts from 8.30 am on September 1 till 8.30 am on September 2.
While the state will continue to experience light to moderate rain till 8.30 am on September 2, there is no weather warning for Odisha on August 29 and 30.
