Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain lashed the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, along with other parts of Odisha, on Saturday morning under the influence of the monsoon and the low pressure area that is likely to form over Bay of Bengal on August 7.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur over parts of Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Boudh and Angul districts during the next three hours, according to a nowcast bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s regional centre here at 10.15 am on Saturday.
The regional Met centre has forecast generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain/thundershower with one or two intense spells of rain over Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on Saturday.
