Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning for two districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city, till 8 pm on Saturday.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning may affect some parts of Cuttack and Khurda districts, including the twin cities, in 3 hours. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strike.

The IMD had earlier predicted heavy rain at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Malkangiri and Keonjhar districts. It had also warned of thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal.
The weather agency had forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm in Bhubaneswar.
