Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thundershower and lightning is likely to affect at least six districts of Odisha including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities on Wednesday night, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
The weather agency also issued yellow alert at 9.30 pm and said light to moderate rain, thundershower and lightning may affect some parts of Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Nayagarh, Jajpur, Cuttack (including Cuttack city) and Dhenkanal within next three hours.
People have been advised by the weather agency to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.
