Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for rain, thunderstorm and lightning in seven districts of Odisha by 9 pm on Tuesday. The capital city of Bhubaneswar is also likely to be affected.
Issuing yellow message, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with lightning is likely to affect some parts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Gajapati and Koraput districts during next three hours.
The MeT Centre has advised people keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike
