Bhubaneswar: With the depression, the remnant of Cyclone Fengal, having weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area over North Interior Tamil Nadu, Odisha is likely to continue to experience rain till December 5.
“The remnant low pressure area is likely to emerge over southeast and adjoining east-central Arabian Sea off north Kerala-Karnataka coasts around December 3,” the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.
Wind pattern and associated cloudiness were seen over south coastal Odisha adjoining districts, including twin city area Bhubaneswar & Cuttack city, this morning.
According to the weather agency, light to moderate rain may occur at one or two places in South Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Koraput, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Nabarangpur districts on December 2, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri on December 3-4, and Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Gajapati on December 5.
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are likely to witness cloudy sky with light rain during next 24, according to the midday bulletin.
