Yellow Alert: Rain May Lash Bhubaneswar, Cuttack This Evening

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department issued yellow warning for Odisha’s twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack till 7.40 pm.

Rain/thundershower may affect some parts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar) and Cuttack (including Cuttack city) within next 3 hours. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.

The weather agency had earlier issued orange warning of moderate thunderstorm with gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph, and intense spells of rain for some parts of Puri, Khurda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kenderapada, Sundargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri till 6.30 pm.
