Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded yellow warning for four districts of Odisha till 6.15 pm on Tuesday.
Light rain/thundershower may occur in some parts of Jagatsinghpur, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack & Puri districts during this period. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
Earlier, it had issued a similar warning for Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Cuttack, Puri and Jajpur till 4.30 pm.
The weather agency has also forecast light to moderate rain/thunderstorm at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri and Ganjam till 8.30 am on Wednesday. Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm may continue at one or two places in Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Khurda districts during the subsequent 24 hours and in Ganjam and Puri on November 7.
Dry weather may prevail across the state thereafter. There will also be no change in the maximum and minimum temperature during the next 5 days, it added.
