Bhubaneswar: Rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning lashed Bhubaneswar and several parts of Khordha districts on Tuesday evening.
According to a nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 6.55 pm, moderate thunderstorms, severe lightning and rain at some places over Khordha, including Bhubaneswar city, and Jagatsinghpur districts in next three hours.
The weather agency also issued a yellow warning for these districts about the weather conditions. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather conditions in order to save themselves from lightning strikes.
