Rain, Squall@50Kmph To Lash Khurda, Cuttack, Puri & 14 Other Odisha Districts Till 7PM

Bbhubaneswar: With Severe Cyclonic Storm Remal brewing in the Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department has issued orange warning for 17 districts of Odisha till 7 pm on Sunday.

Moderate thunderstorm accompanied with squall wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph, lightning and light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Nabarangpur, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nuapada, Khurda, Cuttack, Puri and Balangir within 3 hours.

The weather agency has warned of minor damage to loose/unsecured structures, banana trees and standing crops.

Yellow warning of light to moderate thundershower with lightning and light to moderate rain has also been sounded for Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Koraput, Malkanagiri, and Kalahandi districts.

People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places accordingly.
