Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind lashed several districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities on Saturday evening.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a series of nowcast warnings and said moderate thunderstorms, lightning, rain and surface wind with 40-50 kmph speed may occur in Cuttack and Khurda districts in next three hours.
Capital city Bhubaneswar is also likely to be affected, the IMD said, issuing an orange warning.
The weather agency also issued orange warning for Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts.
