Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with lightning and thunder is likely to lash at least 19 districts of Odisha on Sunday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 4.20 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Ganjam, Debagada, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Sundaragada, Dhenkanal, Puri, Jajpur, Anugola, Kendujhar, Boudh, Nayagada, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Subarnapur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Kataka (including Kataka city) during next three hours.
Light to moderate rain with lightning and thunder may occur in these districts during the period.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
