Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to hit nine Odisha districts in the next two days.
As per the midday weather bulletin of India Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely in Sundargarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore till 8.30 am on Friday.
Similar weather condition are likely to prevail over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Ganjam till October 9 morning.
The next three days, till October 12 morning , are likely to remain dry.
The capital city is likely to witness partly cloudy sky with possibility of thunder or lightning. The maximum temperature is very likely to be around 35 degree Celsius.
The IMD further informed that the low pressure area is very likely to form over north Andaman Sea around October 10.
It is likely to become more marked and move west northwestwards towards south Odisha & north Coastal Andhra Pradesh coast during subsequent 4-5 days.
