Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunder and lightning is likely to lash 14 districts of Odisha on Friday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
State capital Bhubaneswar and Kataka city are also likely to be affected by the weather conditions.
In a message issued at 12.20 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Puri, Khordha, Kataka (including Kataka city), Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nayagada and Anugola districts for next three hours.
In a similar message issued at 12.10 pm, the weather agency also sounded a yellow warning of rain, thunder and lightning for three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safery.
