New Delhi: At least 11 flights, including Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s flight, were diverted from Delhi airport on Friday night following heavy rain and thunderstorms in the Delhi-NCR region, ANI reported.
Some of these flights were diverted to Lucknow and Jaipur.
Delhi Airport authorities have advised passengers to get in touch with the airlines for flight information. “Due to bad weather, flight operations at Delhi Airport are affected. Passengers are requested to get in touch with the airline concerned for updated flight information,” Delhi Airport tweeted.
The rain brought respite to the Delhi-NCR region, where day temperatures have touched 49-50 degrees.
